Occasionally, we breed and offer for sale puppies to serious buyers only. Chesapeakes love to work. We look to place our puppies with a family or person who will provide them the proper exercise and life they deserve. We strive to breed a healthy, intelligent Chesapeake with good temperament, and proper breed type. Each puppy has the opportunity to retrieve prior to being placed in their new homes.
We do require that the owners of any puppy purchased from us be checked for hip dysplasia and inherited eye disease when it is age appropriate. All test results are to be forwarded to Horse and Hounds Chesapeakes. The results of these tests helps determine the overall soundness of our dogs and reliability of our breeding program.
When age appropriate, our breeding stock have been examined and found clear of hip dysplasia and hereditary eye disease, and each has their shooting dog certificate. All our dogs are hunted during the season and have been successful in cold game and working tests.
We have no older dogs for sale at this time. However, if you would like us to let you know when we are expecing a litter or have an older dog for sale, please contact us.
